Education & Work History
Darren grew up in the Ocean Grove section of Neptune, New Jersey. He attended Bethany College and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in 1996 studying economics and psychology. Darren then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey.
While serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph H. Rodriguez of the United States District Court, Darren was an active member of the Domestic Violence Practice and Reform Project. In addition, he completed a clerkship in the Family Part of the Superior Court, Monmouth County and served as a law clerk in the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Prior to opening up his own practice, Darren was a partner in the firm of Jacobowitz, Defino, Latimer & O’Toole, where he practiced family law. In 2011, Darren formed The Law Office of Darren C. O'Toole, LLC, a highly respected family law practice located in Monmouth County.
Darren resides in Monmouth County with his wife, four children, and two dogs.
